Chamber
organising in the territory of Banja Luka Region starts from
1902 when a Craftsmen Association with 120 members was
established in Banja Luka.
The Law on establishing the Chamber of Trade and
Handicraftsman from 1909 regulates Chamber’s organising as a
public – legal institution in the whole territory of Bosnia
and Herzegovina.
In current territory of Banja Luka region from that period
up to the 1962 structural Chambers, mostly for agriculture,
catering, tourism and craft were active.
The Law on
establishing unique Chambers of Commerce and Industry from
1962 constitutes the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a
general type Chamber including all areas and branches of
economy.
Today, the Chamber of Commerce
and Industry of Banja Luka Region is a part of a unique
Chamber System of the republic of Srpska which is organised
on the bases of the Law on Chamber of Commerce and Industry
from 1992.
